Start with the largest pieces you plan to store, then estimate the number of boxes. How tightly you pack and how often you need access can change the best choice, so these examples are only a starting point:
- 5 x 10: A small room, boxes, and a few furniture pieces.
- 10 x 10: Many one-bedroom apartment contents.
- 10 x 15: A larger apartment or compact two-bedroom home.
- 10 x 20: Many two- or three-bedroom moves, depending on furnishings.
- Larger units: Household moves with garage items, appliances, or business inventory.
